FC Barcelona led by Xavi Hernandez will travel to Madrid on the opening weekend, where they will face Rayo Vallecano, who completed a league double against Barca last season.

Barcelona have signed four new players to contract ahead of their opening home game of the season against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, a La-Liga source has revealed to Reuters.

Midfielder Franck Kessie, defender Andreas Christensen and forwards Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha are now available to face Rayo Vallecano, although Jules Kounde still needs clearance.

Barca had to meet LaLiga’s salary cap to sign up for new signings but some “economic leverage” including new investments released funding after the last lever was activated.
