According to legal documents, Wendy has been unable to access her account for more than two weeks now.
Queen Of All Media is asking the court for an emergency order declaring that the bank is “in possession of several million dollars’ worth of funds”.
The lawsuit claims that Wells Fargo justified its decision to keep her off her account by invoking its authority under various customer agreements to “‘pause or refuse instruction for a proposed transactions, “pending judicial or administrative measures, if they suspect financial exploitation, dementia, or undue influence”.
Wendy’s legal team countered that she was suffering “imminent and irreparable financial damage.” They want her account back now while the dispute has to go through arbitration to resolve.
