Baker Mayfield should be back on the field this weekend.
In the third quarter of a Browns-Patriots game, the Cleveland passer was hit by a hard hit from Patriots defender Matthew Judon, sending him out of the game.
Mayfield walked off the field and into the blue medical tent to talk to the Cleveland coaches, then would come out of the tent, patrol the sideline, and talk to other teammates afterward. Case Keenum replaces the injured QB.
On Monday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that Mayfield will have to rest for the day due to injury and will be back on the field this weekend.

After the injury, Cleveland will officially list Mayfield as “questionable” again with a knee injury.

Mayfield had a forgettable day in Week 10, passing 11/21 in 73 yards, a touchdown and interception against the Patriots. The Patriots had a 31-7 lead against the Browns at the time of the injury.
After the game, Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that it was a knee injury for Mayfield and that he could return if needed.

Mayfield, entering his fifth year as a starter for the Browns in 2022, is in the midst of an injury-hit 2021 season. The Browns midfielder was faced with a complete laceration to his left shoulder, but didn’t seem to like it on the stroke. He lands on his right shoulder in the play.
The Browns dealt with injuries to Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt earlier in the year, with Chubb returning to the field recently. They also gave up Odell Beckham Jr., who would later sign the Rams.
Keenum is in his sophomore year with the Browns, reunited with Stefanski, with them working together in Minnesota.
