Aveta VADV150 2023 smart hybrid scooter at Malaysia Motor Show – with digital video recorder, RM13,980
Shown at Malaysia Autoshow is 2023 Aveta VADV150 hybrid scooter, priced at RM13,980. The difference of VADV150 Hybrid compared to equivalent products on the market is that it is equipped with a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) system with front and rear cameras.
Launched in Malaysia in March of this year, the VADV150 targets its local competitor, the Honda ADV160 (RM12,999). The VADV150 is equipped with a lot of technology and features commonly found on higher-end scooters.
This comes in the form of adaptive front lighting, which Aveta calls ‘AFS’, which adjusts the VADV150’s headlight angle depending on spending and tilt angle. There’s also a 7-inch TFT-LCD display in the cockpit with Aveta’s TBOX Bluetooth connectivity to the driver’s smartphone and including tire pressure monitoring.
Power in the engine comes from a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC four-valve mill, powered by EFI, and displaces 149 cc. Power for the VADV150 is rated at 16.22 hp with electric assistance and a maximum torque of 14.6 Nm.
Dubbed ‘Combined Assist’, the system comes in the form of a ‘Intelligent Engine Generator’ which provides power transmission back to the engine using an alternator and operates at speeds up to 50 km/h. H. Other driving conveniences include keyless entry, engine start-stop, two-position manual windscreen and USB charging port.
The saddle height on the VADV150 is 775 mm while the weight is listed as 150 kg due to the addition of the hybrid engine, making this the heaviest scooter in the segment. There are three color options – Topaz Yellow, Sapphire Blue, and Ruby Red.
