11-0 middleweight Austin Williams opened DAZN’s Canelo-Golovkin pay-per-view card Saturday night at Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena by taking on Kieron Conway 18-2-1 in a scheduled round of 10 . The opening chapter is something of a perceptive process for every man. Williams moves forward while Conway tries to contain scope.

Things continued in the second minute as nampaw Williams tried to make his hard hits and the defensively minded Conway aimed to stop his man with a jab. The fight maintained a rather slow tempo in the third round, probably because Conway kept Williams on. Conway then combined his punches effectively in the fourth round. By season five, it seemed Williams was uncomfortable with Conway’s spearhead-focused strategy.

The six saw Williams keep trying to get into his men. Sometimes he lands well, but at that point it was definitely not an interesting game. Williams finally landed and landed hard in the seventh inning. Conway is still standing, but Williams has momentum now. Conway is still hard to reach – but Williams has reached him now. Conway was able to find a home for his stab in the eighth, but William’s shots clearly did damage, a fact that the blood on Conway’s face attests to.

By the ninth round, Conway was simply defeated. A strong upper cut put Conway down. The brave Englishman got up again, but clearly lost the game at the time. Williams worked hard to get Conway through the ten and final laps. He couldn’t finish the match early, but Williams won the UD from the judges after the final bell.
