Sachin Tendulkar (971 runs)
All-time top scorer in Tests and ODI, legend Sachin Tendulkar also topped the leaderboard for India at Asia Cup. With a whopping 971 runs in 21 innings, Tendulkar averaged over 51 and had two hundred and seven and a half centuries at the event. Tendulkar was India’s top scorer in the 1995 and 2004 editions of the continental tournament and scored his 100th international goal of the century against Bangladesh in the 2012 edition, albeit in a loss.

Rohit Sharma (883 runs)
The current captain of India will take the lead at the 2022 Asian Cup as India’s second-most runs in the tournament with 883 runs in 26 innings. Rohit was the best player in the 2018 edition – the last time the event was held – scoring 317 runs in five innings and a hundred times in the match against India’s Pakistan nine. In the first T20 edition of the 2016 Asian Cup, Rohit had a mixed record of 138 runs in 5 innings with an average of 27.60.

Virat Kohli (766 runs)
Former India captain Virat Kohli’s international cricket record continued through the Asian Cup as he was the third highest-scoring Indian smash in the tournament’s history with 766 runs in just 14 innings at the middle level. The average average is 63.83. Kohli is also the only Indian player to score three hundred goals in the Asian Cup and is the country’s top scorer in the 2012 and 2016 editions. His career best is 183 in the 2012 and 2016 editions. ODIs also came at the continental event, when he helped India defeat a mammoth 330 against arch-rival Pakistan in 2012.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni not only ended India’s 15-year title drought by leading the team to victory in 2010 but was also one of the country’s top scorers at the event. His 690 runs in 20 innings hit a staggering average of 69.00 and cover a century three and fifties. Dhoni’s most successful campaign was in his first Asian Cup in 2008, when he scored 327 runs in six matches while averaging 109.00. However, Dhoni had a lousy campaign in the most recent edition of the continental event in 2018, having only 77 runs in six games for an average of 19.25.

India’s major league player Shikhar Dhawan also had a good run in the Asia Cup, with 613 runs in 13 innings, becoming the country’s fifth-highest scorer at the event. . Dhawan was India’s top runner in the 2018 edition, scoring 342 runs in five matches and overtaking two hundred times. Southpaw, however, fell short of his best form in the T20 edition of the 2016 tournament, racking up 79 runs in four innings but claiming 60 titles in the final against Bangladesh.
