Arsenal set to sign Chelsea’s Jorginho for £12m
weapon set to sign Chelsea midfielder Jorginho in a £12 million deal hours before the January transfer deadline, sources have told ESPN.
The club has pursue a deal for the Brighton centre-back Moises Caicedo but came to Jorginho, 31, in the final days of the transfer window. Sources have revealed to ESPN that the Italy international will sign a one-year contract with Arsenal with the option to extend for another year.

Jorginho joined Chelsea in July 2018 and has made 213 appearances, playing a key role in helping the club win the Europa League in 2019 and the Champions League in 2021.
He also helped Italy won the Euro 2020 title and was named UEFA Men’s Player of the Year later that summer, as well as finishing third in the voting for the 2021 Ballon d’Or.
The midfielder has also enjoyed spells at Naples, Greek Verona, Sassuolo and AC Sambonifacese.
