Arcane season two confirmed | Paper gun
Following Arcane’s conclusion on Friday, Riot Games and Netflix confirmed that the animated series is based on League of Legends will actually get a second season. The only detail they’re willing to confirm right now is that the voice actors behind Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn will return, and I don’t know if that’s a spoiler since I’ve only watched three episodes Firstly. Check out the teaser trailer below.
“We’re delighted with the positive response to Arcane’s first season, and are working hard with the creative mages at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second,” said Arcane co-creator, Christian Linke and Alex Yee said in the announcement.
The thing that surprised me the most about Arcane was this from League. It’s an unappealing game with a plot that follows two teams of wizards who appear to be fighting each other but end up fighting each other, bickering, blaming and begging their teammates to commit suicide. From this seed, the series grew into a complex web of relationships, dramas and shocking consequences, all wrapped up in a beautiful art style. It’s impressive.
Arcane season 1 is available on Netflix. It’s currently 9th on the UK charts, which isn’t bad at all.
Riot is rolling out new games for people who like the world of LoL but might not want to, you know, play League of Legends. Last week they released two spin-offs: a turn-based RPG called Ruined King; and a rhythm runner, Hextech Mayhem, by the studio behind Bit.Trip. Hextech Mayhem is even available through a mobile Netflix subscription. Upcoming games include the Conv/rgence platformer, the single-player “adventure” Song Of Nunu, and the fighting game codenamed Project L.
