Arcade Paradise is a 90s themed game management simulator where every game is fully playable.

You play as Ashley, a 19-year-old college dropout. Tasked by your father, brilliantly portrayed by award-winning Doug Cockle, (you may know him as Geralt in The Witcher series), you manage the daily quests that are run the family’s King Wash laundromat business. Things start to get interesting when you discover that the dusty vintage arcade machines located in the back room have more business potential than the actual laundromat. Ka-ching! Ashley’s imagination is wild and you embark on a journey that takes you from your dreary last job to a console empire as you experience what it’s like to run your video games. only you.

There are over 35 fully playable arcade games to unlock in the game, all built from the ground up and each with gameplay, story, quests, and high scores to set. From a development standpoint, this presents us with quite a challenge! (we’ll save that for another blog discussion, tho).

Wash, Profit, Rinse, Repeat

I’m excited to be able to give you a first look at our new release date trailer, The Grind, showcasing the core game loop. Revealing how to manage profits, honing, (very videogame in nature), seems like a chore, (but is actually strangely fun), allows players to build and open expand their own arcade empire. Unlocking toilets, peeling gum off the floor, doing laundry and picking up trash all work like mini-games from which you can reinvest profits into video games. In Arcade Paradise, you’ll need to combine laundry management and video game management, and you’ll need to play games to maximize their profits. It can be said that the road to Arcade Paradise will not be easy, but we think it will be very interesting.

Relive the gaming nostalgia of the 90s

If you grew up in the 90s like I did, you probably know and appreciate how popular video games are. As a teenager, I was obsessed with video games, skateboarding, and music. We draw inspiration from classic arcade games from 3 decades ago – games that take you through the 8, 16 and 32-bit eras, with inspiration all the way to the original PlayStation era – but we also tried Try to add a modern setting, so each game feels authentic but in reality, they’re much more modern. For us, Arcade Paradise is a celebration of the greatest gaming era ever, in fact, the game is so nostalgic that you can almost feel the arcade tapestry sticking.

Block Rockin ‘Beats

As with video games, we are also fans of music and especially music from the 90s. It was a great era for music, especially because of its creativity and variety of genres. its great. Arcade Paradise’s soundtrack is inspired by some of the best tracks of that decade, delivering a powerful hi-energy tune over the in-game jukebox.

Arcade Paradise is the biggest game we’ve ever created as a studio, and we can’t wait for you to embark on your journey from rags to riches when it launches on PS4 and PS5 next year. August 11

Thank you for reading and we will see you soon at Arcade Paradise.
