Official trailer of the movie from YouTube
From the YouTube description
Filmed over four years of hope and crisis, TO THE END chronicles the emergence of a new generation of leaders and the movement behind the most sweeping climate change legislation in American history. Award-winning director Rachel Lears (Knock Down The House) follows four exceptional young women— Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, activist Varshini Prakash, climate policy writer Rhiana Gunn-Wright, and strategist Politician Alexandra Rojas— as they grapple with new challenges of leadership and power and work together to protect their generation’s right to a future.
To The End opens Friday, December 9. Here are the weekend totals from Ticket Office Mojo
Under $10,000 from 120 theaters. That could be a record low.
I checked out two theaters near me. One person has four shows/day the other is five.
Assuming the same number of showings per day nationally, this means, on Saturdays and Sundays, less than one person per show and at most one audience per Friday. , if we assume the minimum fare is eight dollars.
Since most people don’t go to the movies alone, there are a lot of empty screenings, possibly more than 50%.
On Rotten Tomatoes, as expected, the film received an extremely high score from critics of 83%. Continuing the trend of divergence between the audience and the critics, out of more than 100 audience ratings, there was not a single audience rating above the one-star minimum.
The audience is clearly just stupid. After all, it’s an award winning movie.
