“I know who the new coach is,” said Eddie Hearn DAZN of his boxer, Anthony Joshua is looking for a new coach. “It’s really a personal matter.” In other words, Hearn will let Joshua reveal himself the new face will stand in his corner, despite rumors that the man will be Derrick James. “I think it’s the right thing for a boxer to announce that to his new team,” Hearn continued. “I talk a lot, I give interviews a lot. I will talk about his fights.” Whoever the coach may be, if it’s new it will be the third coach in as many fights for Joshua.

With that said, Hearn made it clear that Joshua aims to jump across the Atlantic again to train in the United States. “He’s going to train in the US and he’s going to start that camp next week, he’s going to fly out. So you guys should get the news soon,” he said. “The problem is that in England,” Hearn added, “he couldn’t breathe. When he came to America, people knew him, but it was like another world.” Finally, Hearn made it clear that he feels heading to the states is the right move for his boxer. “I think that would be really good for him. I think you’ll see a vibrant Anthony Joshua.”

It is not a mystery when Joshua will return to the ring. Hearn said: “April 1 was our targeted date in London. “I will go through the final list of opponents. We are almost ready. He was very excited. Hearn has indicated that he feels Joshua needs to get back into the heavyweight arena, so don’t expect the former player to face the likes of Fury or Wilder, or maybe even Joyce in the spring. .

It seems like just yesterday that Joshua was considered, if not the outright king of heavyweight, to be one of the few who could or will eventually be. However, since that time, he has lost two games in a row to Ukrainian skill set Oleksandr Usyk. Neither war was particularly close. Now he is in the process of getting comfortable in the ring again before attempting to face one of the division’s big dogs again. With Usyk and Fury planning to fight at least once and Deontay Wilder and Joshua’s arch-nemesis Andy Ruiz likely to be indecisive, there will be plenty of big names out there waiting for him.
