Sometimes it’s hard to spark excitement. In a world full of anxiety, many people just want the old, familiar feelings. Like security, safety and, well, sanity. This can be difficult for companies that want their customers to be amazed all the time.
Apple has been trading on that perpetual sense of awe for a long time. I wonder if that will turn out to be quite difficult. I was only absorbed in this thought because, according to hot rumorsApple will soon launch the MacBook Air M3.

This feels personal.
I have been using Airs for the longest time. For (almost) the longest time, nothing seems to have really changed. They are silver or gray in color. The upgrade drifts towards the dull side of incremental. And each upgrade presents a MacBook Air the same shape as before.
Then come together M1 air. Yes, it looks like the Air before it, but it feels like a real change. And real speed. It seems that within a few months, a M2 air appeared.

Now this one looks very different. Gone are the sharp wedge shapes. And this is the appearance of midnight blue, a color so subtle and lovely that it makes me dizzy — the boundary that make me buy one.
It becomes a great companion. Fast, but, I mentioned, subtly lovely. I should also mention that I thought this was going to happen for a while. When you’re an Air user, that’s what you expect.
However, now the rumor millers claim there will be a new one, a better one. A slightly better one.
The M3 chip will obviously be slightly thinner than the M2. But what if there were more colors? What if Apple chose to make the whole look of the Air more interesting?
Will the launch of a new Air suddenly become an annual event, to be held to ooh and aahs, because each Air is physically different from the previous Air? I’m joking, of course. Just as I hope the people who spread the rumors are also teasing.

I can’t help but think that the past two years Iphone was not very interesting.
Oh, the camera is even better. Oh, did we say that last year?
Once upon a time, the iPhone had an iconic look. These days, it is much more at one with Galaxy WILL.

Perhaps, I hear you whimper, Apple is preparing an interesting folding phone. And maybe, I’ll whimper in response, it’ll also roll out a crease augmented reality And virtual reality pair of glasses in a beautifully designed leather case.
However, just imagine the marketing possibilities now. Each new Air will receive a new number. It will distinguish them. It will encourage more people to get the latest one. Just to have the latest number. And what if every year, the physical design was changed a little bit?
Oh, is that the M4? I feel so bad, I only have an M3.

However, I suppose I’m pretty excited about how laptops are (probably) going to be fun again. You see, there’s a big difference between a nice phone and a nice laptop. You don’t stick the latter in an ugly plastic box as soon as you buy it.
When you use it, it will be there for all to see. All.
