Americas announces new date for 2023
Americas, the largest touring rally in the US, was held from June 7 to 11 in Lake George, New York. (You can read Report the Americas race 2021 here.) The event was a huge success, with tens of thousands of attendees, test drives from eight major motorcycle manufacturers, a major supplier exhibition, guided and self-guided rides guide, and entertain. Organizers are already planning next year’s rally, and they recently released the following press release announcing the new dates.
Americade 2023 will take place a week earlier than usual, from May 30 to June 3, starting the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Americade 2023 will celebrate a historic milestone, its 40th event, featuring a number of specials that add live music, entertainment and motorcycling.
“Laconia will also be celebrating a major milestone, its 100th next year,” said Christian Dutcher, Director of Americade, and it doesn’t make much sense to have two major events overlap in special years. So we’re sliding Americade earlier to give each event a little headroom. “

Americade 2022 showcases most factory demos in any US event, and in 2023, Americade will likely show even more. Kim Knupp, Yamaha Country Events Manager said, “This is exciting news. It’s a great move for the Americade and will increase attendance. It opens the door for those who want to go to both events but cannot at the moment.”
In addition, national brand suppliers are also fully supportive of this move. “I support that 100 percent,” said Melissa Auclair of Mustang Motorcycle Seats. “It not only benefits suppliers but also benefits customers.”
Americade 2023 will start on May 30 (May 29 pre-registrants).
