Famed veteran Gabriel Rosado stepped into the ring as part of a card under Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday. The 26-15-1 boxer faced 18-1 Ali Akhmedov in the scheduled super-middle class 10th match.

The first half of the match saw Akhmedov prove to be the superior of the two boxers. The Kazakhs were able to control the tempo, as well as the scope, in combat. Rosado, as he was always known, managed to get into the man’s place and landed with difficulty. However, he was unable to execute that tactic in the middle of the match.

With that, Rosado had his moments as the second half of the match began. The question is whether boxer Philly has what it takes to turn the tide completely. Unfortunately for Rosado, the sculpturally strong Akhmedov was able to keep his men at bay. The deeper the battle went, the more Akhmedov proved to be the one in control of the inside of the ring.

Give Rosado credit – at the age of thirty-six, the man still has a lot of battles left in him. He simply doesn’t have enough Saturdays to equal or best Akhmedov, who looks incredibly impressive. Suffice it to say that Akhmedov walked out of the ring with a decisive unanimous victory.

End.
