AFCON 2022: Tournament Format
Similar to other continental championships and World Cups, the Africa Cup of Nations begins with a group stage, followed by a knockout stage until the final. And for the first time in tournament history, all 52 matches will feature video replays and the use of Video Assistant Referees (VAR).
