Adorable Pug walks in circles to get up the stairs
Each of us has our own quirks that make us who we are, and the same is true of our pets.
An adorable little pug can be seen demonstrating his unique habit of walking up the stairs, and the Internet just can’t get enough.
In the video you can see the pug getting ready to go up the stairs. He doesn’t start with his front paws like a dog usually does, but instead turns around and gets ready to go backwards.
He lifts his back foot on the first step, but then turns and uses his front foot for the next step. Then he spins around again and uses his hind legs! He continued to rotate, taking a step with the back foot first, then taking a step with the front foot.
The walkway he created up the stairs looked like he was spinning or spinning. It’s adorable and hilarious, but it also raises a question: Is it okay for the little dog to walk this path? That’s definitely not the “normal” way a dog would go up stairs.
Based on PETSOID, dogs walk backwards for a variety of reasons, including trauma, anxiety, and neurological problems, like Canine Cognitive Disorder.
Usually, when a dog walks backwards, they continue to walk backwards and don’t swing back to front like the dog in the video. That makes the puppy’s behavior even more weird and unique!
