Adare Manor is looking for a second Santa Margarita

Back-to-back wins in the Santa Margarita Stakes (G2) are difficult, as evidenced by the fact that it has not been possible over the past 34 years. Trained by Bob Baffert, Adare Manor begins 2024 with a second Sweet Azteca in the March 9 Beholder Mile Stakes (G1) before edging out the field at 7-10 in the Apple Blossom, scoring over Flight connection equal to 5 1/2 length. Juan Hernandez has been a regular rider for Adare Manor for more than a year and returns from the No. 5 at Santa Margarita with a distance of 1 1/8 miles on dirt.

Coach Richard Baltas stepped in Green dream machine 4 year old daughter of Superior who finished fourth at Santa Maria in only his second start of his life. She broke her maiden at Water racetrack in February. Kyle Frey will pilot the Blue Dream Machine for the first time and they have a 4-way tie.

Henny’s Crazy Train , after a win on May 4 with the right to claim an on-field option allowance for manager John Sadler, rounded out the field. The last time she won on grass was at Los Alamitos Race Course Last September, went a mile in the company’s starting allowance. Hector Berrios prepares to drive off the tracks.
