According to The Numbers: Trae Young’s career-high 56 points aren’t enough for the Hawks in Portland
Trae Young spent a night in Portland, helping the flat-nosed Hawks put up a favorable fight against the Trail Blazers.

Despite the loss, Young set and broke many NBA and franchise records with his efforts. Here’s a look at all of them:
56: High marks in career
Young played explosively, scoring at least 12 points in each round. He started with 16 then piled up to 13 in the second quarter, 12 in the third and 15 in the final.
He finished the game with 17 of his 26 scoring attempts, including 7/12 from 3-pointers and a perfect 15/15 from the free throw. Here is his short chart. The 17 goals scored have helped Young reach the top of his career while his 7 3-pointers are just 1 short of his career best.

Unfortunately, because of the unfortunate results, Young just became second player ever and first player since Tiny Archibald in 1973 lost at least 50 and 14.
He also joins the list of elite players to score at least 50 points and 10 assists.
Young is the fourth player ever to have more than 50 points and more than 14 assists in a game, along with James Harden, Nate Archibald (2 times) and Wilt Chamberlain.

16: Hawks franchise record for consecutive 25-point games
Coming to this competition, Young had a 15 game record with 25 or more points, just one short of the franchise record held by Dominique Wilkins.
As part of this performance, he just first half to equalize the record.
Young’s 16-game streak not only leads the NBA this season, but also plays a huge role in his being among the league leaders in points-per-game – 28.4 (2nd in the NBA).

Young’s 14 assists are Most scored in NBA history in a 55-point game. That number is only a fraction of his season-high and three times his career high.
This is his 18th game this season with at least 10 assists, which plays a huge part in his being third in the league with an average of 9.5 assists per game. . He is the only player of the tournament to finish in the top 3 in terms of points and average assists.

With this outing, Young is in just his fourth NBA season having sex with all-time greats like Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade for most of the 30-10 game. This is the 40th time in his career, breaking ties with Damian Lillard and Kevin Johnson (39 years old). seventh best in NBA history.
Among active players, it ranks best fourth with only James Harden (97), LeBron James (93) and Russell Westbrook (83) having more.
