A Review of the Super-Affordable Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 XF Lens

Few manufacturers can compete with Viltrox when it comes to price, but of course, cheap does not mean much if you can’t back it up with performance and image quality that can satisfy the needs of discerning users. The AF 75mm f/1.2 XF is a great example of one such lens, and yet, it offers impressively competitive results, even against much more expensive options. Is it the lens for you? This great video review takes a look at what you can expect.

Coming to you from Oma Ghomrawi, this excellent video review takes a look at the Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 XF lens for Fujifilm X Series mirrorless cameras. At only $549, this lens is particularly affordable when compared to most other wide-aperture portrait choices, which makes it a particularly intriguing option for a variety of users, especially portrait and wedding photographers. And for the most part, it looks awfully impressive, bringing alone nice sharpness (even at those more extreme apertures), unintrusive and pleasing bokeh, a lack of aberrations, and solid build quality and weather-sealing for working in inclement conditions. This sort of performance is particularly important now that Fujifilm has significantly raised the resolution of some of its sensors to 40 megapixels, as found in the X-T5 and X-H2. Check out the video above for Ghomrawi’s full thoughts on the lens.
