Pleasant Temperatures Expected for Breeders’ Cup Friday
Whereas fog enveloped Del Mar as followers trickled in for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships Friday Nov. 5 card, it was anticipated to yield to sunny skies and temperatures within the mid-60s forward of the day’s first race, scheduled for 11:55 p.m. PT (2:55 ET).
5 Breeders’ Cup races for 2-year-olds will shut out Friday’s Del Mar card, forward of 9 extra Breeders’ Cup races Saturday. The primary of the Friday Breeders’ Cup races is the Juvenile Turf Dash (G2T) scheduled for two:50 p.m. PT (5:50 p.m. ET).
The day’s greatest scratch was reported Thursday as Champagne Stakes (G1) winner Jack Christopher , morning-line favorite in the $2 million TVG Juvenile Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (G1), will not race in that 1 1/16-mile test.

Thunder Love is expected to start in the day’s fourth race, the Senator Ken Maddy Stakes, where she’ll face older rivals as the race is for fillies and mares 2-and-older.
