At IBC 2024 in Amsterdam, Blackmagic Design announced pricing and availability of the Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65, a new large format digital film camera. Featuring a 65mm RGBW sensor and the ability to shoot footage at up to 17K resolution, the camera is aimed at high-end productions, promising exceptional image quality and workflow integration.
The Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 features a 17,520 x 8,040 pixel sensor with 16 stops of dynamic range, delivering impressive color accuracy and detail in both highlights and shadows. It features interchangeable lens mounts, including PL, LPL and Hasselblad, and supports a variety of connections, making it flexible for a variety of production settings.
