2024 Tour Championship Bonuses, Bonuses: $100M FedEx Cup Fund Payout to Scottie Scheffler, Course

The largest prize fund ever created was awarded Sunday at the 2024 Tour Championship as the full PGA Tour season concluded at East Lake Golf Club. With the top 30 players from the PGA Tour vying for a share of the $100 million FedEx Cup prize — up $25 million from last year — competitors had the chance to see some incredible numbers roll into their accounts over the weekend.

The special events and the first two playoff events have a total prize pool of $20 million, $5 million less than what this week’s eventual winner will take home. Up $7 million from the previous two seasons, the winner’s prize is the largest in PGA Tour history and up $10 million from 2019, the first year of the staggered start format.

Scottie Scheffler is the only man to surpass the $25 million mark in earnings this season as he wins the Masters, the Players Championship and four major events — The six biggest paydays of the year. Xander Schauffele is close to $20 million thanks to two major wins, while Hideki Matsuyama, Wyndham Clark and Rory McIlroy are on track to earn more than eight figures by 2024.

Scheffler and Collin Morikawa, who has yet to win a race this season, were involved in a two-horse race to the finish line first. Scheffler shot 30 under par and beat the two-time major champion with his seventh PGA Tour win this season and the biggest payout in golf history.

However, a top-five finish guarantees a player at least $5 million in prize money, while those in the top 12 all see seven figures next to their names. Everyone in the field earns at least half a million dollars for qualifying for the Tour Championship.

Let’s take a look at the 30 players who will compete in the 2024 Tour Championship. The remaining 120 players in the FedEx Cup standings will split the remaining $17.05 million.
