5 elegant fall trends that will elevate your wardrobe

I often talk about fashion with my mom. One of our favorite pastimes is to shop together in stores and text back and forth about items and trends. Although we have our own styles, we often gravitate toward similar styles because we like Classic and high-end aesthetics.

On that note, we recently reviewed all main trends of fall 2024, and there were four specific trends that we agreed on. Yes, you could describe all of them as elegant. They fit into that modern-classic range and have an element of sophistication with sophisticated design elements. Tailored Blazers

Styles continue to evolve as we move closer to fall. While oversized coats will definitely be making an appearance, both my mom and I love slim-fit, belted coats with an hourglass silhouette for an instantly chic look. My mom says she’ll try one of these with a white shirt and jeans for an easy-to-wear, yet chic look.

Burgundy items

We can’t get enough of this color. We actually went shopping IRL recently, and my mom fell in love with a burgundy Loewe bag and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. It’s the prettiest, chicest color right now. While the accessories shine, the burgundy ready-to-wear is also a standout.

Paper thin turtleneck

Elevated basics will always rule, and that’s no exception for fall 2024. Paper-thin turtlenecks were styled all over the runways with labels from Jil Sander to Khaite showcasing them underneath shirts, sweaters, and coats for elevated layering looks.

A-line/Flare skirt

A-line dresses are the first thing that comes to my mom’s mind when she thinks of elegant pieces, and yes, these styles have dominated the fall runways with a new sense of sophisticated glamour—as we discussed in our fall trends guide.

Scarf

That’s right, the scarf cape is back for fall/winter 2024 and brands like Chloé and Ferragamo have showcased the latest iterations of this elegant silhouette on the runway.
