SEMA Show known to produce a lot of crazy custom cars and trucks really ineffective, like giant forklift truck with bluetooth drive shaft And hot racing car had to be pushed into the convention center, but this crazy project put the money where its mouth was. As it stands, this bright orange Ford Focus The back door somehow conceals a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine with 3.0 liter Whipple engine turbocharger under its custom hood, and that ridiculous engine sends its monstrous power through a five-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. This isn’t some half-hearted attempt at customization either, it’s beautifully finished and looks like it was done right, and The product is currently for sale on Bring A Trailer.

The original 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 hatchback had a 2.0-liter I-4 that made 130 horsepower, which means this custom Focus’s supercharger has more displacement than the car’s original engine. The Focus chassis is widely praised for its playful nature, but at the end of the day, it’s still a front-wheel-drive compact hatchback that can only have so much fun. A rear-wheel-drive Focus is already a blast, but stuffing a supercharged V8 that produces 611 horsepower and 514 pound-feet of torque under the hood takes this build from fun to insane.

Total mileage is unknown, but judging by the car’s original condition and the odometer reading of just 429 miles, it hasn’t been driven like a supercharged V8 Ford Focus RWD should be driven. That much power certainly makes this Focus a little tricky to drive, but isn’t fear of death part of the fun? Thankfully, the builders added a custom roll cage and Recaro bucket to keep everyone safe in case the 611 horsepower gets out of hand.

The car was built by Seyfer Specialties and also features a limited-slip differential, a custom exhaust system, upgraded suspension and brakes, and a sexy Focus RS-Style body. The car is currently for sale on Bring A Trailer with seven days left, though don’t expect this lot to sell for any low price. A well-built custom car like this could be one of the most expensive Ford Focuses ever sold at auction. Check out the driving video list and get more details.
