Alexandres’ Il Miracolo was the winner of the Ghostzapper Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park two starts back for coach Antonio Sano. The 4-year-old Gunman The colt has been a consistent performer throughout his career, but really shined in the second half of his 2023 campaign, winning the Smarty Jones Stakes (G3) and placings in the Pennsylvania Derby (G1), Fayette Stakes (G2) and Clark Stakes (G2). He finished third in his most recent start in the Alysheba Stakes (G2), running over a muddy track at Churchill Downs in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) side event.
Partnering lead rider Paco Lopez in the 1 1/16-mile Iselin race, Il Miracolo completed a series of fast works at Saratoga Race TrackHis most recent run, which took place just four days before Iselin, was a half-mile in :47.95 minutes on August 14.
