Active Runners stands out with Tattersalls September sale

God Of Fire, winner of Kubler’s last three starts, and Roger Varian’s progressive Debora’s Dream are among the horses listed at the Tattersalls September auction, which takes place on 10th next month.

The mixed auction, moved from the end of August, included 240 lots with 155 foals and geldings in or out of training, 77 mares and fillies, and seven broodmares.

Most of the top British trainers will sign the four-year-old God Of Fire, who is looking for a four-year-old horse, which will be supplied by Baroda Stud along with three-year-old Debora’s Dream, from the Holy Roman Emperor family.

Other successful horses include Phoenix Passion, a four-time winner for Ed Walker, and David Simcock’s promising winners Mountain Road and Mascapone. Born Ruler, a horse from the family of the great Ouija Board, will be fielded by Sir Mark Prescott’s Heath House Stables.

Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: “Since its inception in 2020, the tournament, previously held in late August, has quickly established itself as a consistent source of winners for groups at just 10,000 guineas, and this year’s Tattersalls September Sale has been enthusiastically supported by many of Britain and Ireland’s leading trainers.”
