Logitech Combo Touch for iPad Pro (2024) Review: The Must-Have Keyboard Accessory

The beauty of The iPad is its versatility. You can use it as tablet for fun, as a drawing boardor as a laptop to do some light work. But that also means you need the right accessories. Apple sells a lot of first-party options, but they’re pretty limited, not to mention expensive.

Take Apple for example. Smart Folio. It’s great for watching TV or sketching, but you’ll need a keyboard and mouse if you want to use the tablet as a laptop. Magic Keyboard Caseon the other hand, it doesn’t separate from the keyboard and is top heavy, so it’s not useful for anything other than getting the job done. The only ideal choice is the Apple Magic Folio Keyboard. The top half protects the back and has a built-in kickstand. The bottom half is a detachable keyboard with touchpad. This is my favorite. iPad Case Apple used to do it, but unfortunately it only works with iPad 10th generationWhy Apple hasn’t extended support to the rest of its iPad lineup is puzzling.

Luckily there is a solution in the form of Logitech Combo Touch. It is almost identical to Apple Magic Folio Keyboardbut Logitech has been producing it for many years in a row. The latest version is designed specifically for iPad Pro 13 inchbut other versions are available for IPAD tablet And IPAD tabletAs someone who frequently switches between using a tablet for work during the day and watching TV at night, this is a must-have product. iPad Accessories.

Comprehensive adaptation

The Combo Touch isn’t much. It comes in two parts. The first half is the actual case—it’s made of soft fabric with panels around the screen for extra protection. The right side has a slot for storing and charging the battery. Apple Pencil Pro (or just store it if you have it) USB-C Pencil). The back has a great kickstand that can be tilted into a variety of positions. It’s also incredibly sturdy, never wobbling when I touched the screen, when I laid it on the bed to watch TV, or when I placed it on my lap.

The bottom half is home to the keyboard and mouse. It’s made of low-carbon aluminum and has the same premium feel as the redesigned Magic Keyboard case (if you have an older iPad, the case has a fabric texture instead). Both parts connect via Apple’s Smart Connector, so you don’t have to worry about Bluetooth connectivity and therefore charging the case. This mechanism also makes it easy to attach and detach both parts quickly.

The keys also have adjustable backlighting, along with built-in function keys to quickly brighten or dim them right from the keyboard. In addition to the basics like brightness, playback controls, and volume controls, there’s also a Do Not Disturb key and a Screenshot key. The scissor keys are comfortable for all-day typing, and this is coming from someone who very especially about my keyboard. I use a Mechanical keyboard at my desk, so I thought it would be difficult to adjust to the Combo Touch, but I found it to be quite good—I’m writing this review on it.

The case also makes the entire iPadOS experience much more pleasant to work with. I can set the screen at a variety of angles, the keys are large and clicky enough to type on for long periods without feeling fatigued, and the trackpad is responsive (though a little large).
