SeaLife Introduces Sea Dragon Duo 10K+ Color Boost™ Underwater Photography-Video Lighting Kit
MOORESTOWN, NJ – SeaLife has introduced their new Sea Dragon 10K+ Color Boost™ Photo-Video Light Kit, featuring two Sea Dragon 5000+ lights mounted on the new Ultra Dual tray. The revolutionary Color Boost feature of this light kit enhances underwater colors.
The 5000+ offers a CRI (color rendering index) of 90 with a proprietary LED array that closely simulates natural sunlight (a CRI of 100 would be like outdoor daylight). Most other LEDs offer much lower CRI, missing the critical colors needed to produce natural and colorful still images and video. The Sea Dragon 5000+, with their unique Bridgelux Gen 8 V18 COB LEDs, not only offers a high CRI, but also features a function that blends white light with the light’s red LEDs to enhance underwater colors across eight brightness and color settings.
Sea Dragon Duo Set 10K+
The Sea Dragon 5000+ photo-video light provides over 5000 lumens in a wide 120° beam. When placed side by side, they provide even more comprehensive coverage of any subject at almost any angle. Each light can emit up to 6000 lumens for a 2-minute duration, for energy savings.
SeaLife’s unique Color Boost™ feature allows underwater photographers to fine-tune color temperature for their subjects or conditions. The Sea Dragon 5000+ offers four color temperature settings ranging from 5000K (Kelvin) to 2700K.
The light has an “Easy” mode with 5 color and brightness settings: 5000 lumens → 5000 lumens + Color Boost → 3000 lumens → 1500 lumens → Red Only and an “Advanced” mode with 8 settings: 5000 lumens → 5000 lumens + Color Boost → 6000 lumens → 6000 lumens + Color Boost → 3000 lumens → 3000 lumens + Color Boost → 1500 lumens → Red Only
The red LED light alone is the perfect solution for navigating in the dark without scaring shy fish or marine animals with brighter visual lights.
The Sea Dragon 10K+ Color Boost™ dual light kit is ideal for underwater cinematographers, it also delivers impressive still image results and can be used as a primary light source for shots.
The kit includes two Sea Dragon 5000+ Color Boost light heads connected to two Flex-Connect™ YS Mounts, which connect to two included handles on the Flex-Connect Ultra Dual Tray. The new Ultra DualTray fits larger cameras and housings, including SeaLife’s new SportDiver Ultra.
The Sea Dragon 5000+ Color Boost pair is powered by a powerful 50W rechargeable Li-ion battery that can run the light for 60 minutes at 5000 lumens in Color Boost™ mode. The light also includes two battery chargers, along with US and three international plug adapters, and a large protective travel case (SL944 Duo case) that holds the entire system including the camera. A GoPro camera adapter is also included.
