Blake Lively is launching a hair care brand

With great hair comes great responsibility, and for Blake Lively, that means sharing all her blonde secrets with her fans.

On July 31, Gossip Girl actress revealed on Instagram that she’s entering the celebrity beauty space with the launch of Blake Brown, a haircare line designed with red-carpet-worthy performance and clean ingredients in mind, along with an affordable price point.

“Since I was a kid, through my teenage years, adulthood, motherhood, work, personal life, whenever, wherever, the most recognizable part of me has always been my personality—no? Not my personality? Oh… My hair,” Lively captioned a video of her rocking a bob.

“It’s been the longest-lasting companion in my life. 36 years and counting. And like any relationship, it’s healthiest when you take good care of each other,” she continued. “To love it well, I’ve figured out a system that has worked wonders for me, a hack of decades of working with the best in the industry and countless trials and errors. I’ve spent 7 years (I know. It switches between impressive and wtf takes so long) developing every detail of my newest baby, @blakebrownbeauty.”

The actress explained in the post that she wanted quality that would go with a “red carpet/spañol performance,” a scent that smelled “like the kind of perfume I’d actually buy as a high-end perfume,” and a vegan and cruelty-free product made from recycled materials that was “free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, synthetic dyes,” and could also look great on the shelf.

Blake Brown will launch eight products including cleansing, conditioning and styling products: Wild Nectar Santal Basic Conditioning Shampoo, Sandalwood Vanille Basic Strengthening Shampoo, Wild Nectar Santal Basic Conditioning Mask, Sandalwood Vanille Basic Strengthening Mask, Milky Sandalwood Rich Reset Pre-Shampoo, Bergamot Woods All-In-Wonder No-Rinse Mask, Blackcurrant Vanille Glam Hair Foam and Amber Vanille Dry Shampoo.

Blake Brown is expected to launch exclusively at Target on August 4, with a launch date of BlakeBrownBeauty.com on August 5. See Lively’s Instagram post below.
