Multiple Grade 1 winner and sprint/mile millionaire Creed House has retired and will enter Mill Ridge Farm next year, the Lexington farm announced July 30.

“Casa Creed is a great addition to Mill Ridge. Like many of us in racing, we have grown to appreciate him more and more over the years as he has jumped every jump at the highest level against the best,” said Price Bell, general manager of the family-owned and operated farm. “His pedigree mix with Jimmy Creed, by Distorted Humor, would suit a lot of mares at a very reasonable fee of $10,000.”

Casa Creed will be broadcast widely, as it has been. Oscar Performance And Aloha West who also stood at Mill Ridge. Bell was a union steward.

My 8 year old son Jimmy Creed Raced from 2 to 8 for owners Lee Einsidler and Mike Francesa and had his entire racing career shaped by trainer Bill Mott. He would go on to win or place in 15 graded races, highlighted by back-to-back wins in the Fourstardave Handicap (G1T) in 2022 and 2023 and back-to-back wins in the Jaipur Stakes (G1T) in 2021 and 2022.

“He can make a real contribution in the future,” he said. “My family and Mike Francesa have shared six years together with this horse, traveling the world, racing and winning, nine times, at a level that will never be repeated. Bill Mott and his family and team have allowed us to realize every dream and in the process, he has built a loyal fan base with the public, especially at Saratoga. And now, having the opportunity to replicate his quality at a farm like Mill Ridge with Headley and Price Bell allows us to start a new chapter and new dreams.”

Along with his Grade 1 success, Casa Creed has also won the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (G2T) and Kelso Stakes (G3T). He will finish third in the 2023 Breeders’ Cup Mile Stakes (G1T) and compete in the Middle East in 2022-24, where he was runner-up in the 2022-23 edition of the 1351 Turf Sprint Cup (G3T) in Saudi Arabia on Saudi Cup Day. Jimmy Creed, a son of Distorted Humor, won the Malibu Stakes (G1) on the main track, while Casa Creed’s dam, Achalaya, is a daughter of Bellamy Road, who won the 2005 Wood Memorial Stakes (G1) by 17 1/2 lengths, equaling the track record. However, Achalaya is not a multiple graded winner on grass Wild Heart Dancing (Farma Way) and also produced the Grade 3 turf winner Chess’s Dream (Jess’s Dream).
