Paris 2024 Olympic Men’s Golf Odds, Team USA Predictions: Picks for Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has won six PGA Tour events this season, but he will enter uncharted territory in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Men’s Golf Event at Le Golf National. The two-time major champion has never played in the Olympics, although he has appeared on Team USA at the Ryder Cup (twice) and the Presidents Cup. Scheffler is a +300 favorite (risk $100 to win $300) in the 2024 Olympic men’s golf odds, while reigning gold medalist Xander Schauffele is a +525 favorite. Schauffele won his first two career majors this season, topping the leaderboard at the PGA Championship and the Open Championship.

The other two members of Team USA in the 2024 Olympic Men’s Golf are Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa. With the event starting on Thursday, which golfers should you back with your 2024 Olympic Men’s Golf bets? Top Predictions for the 2024 U.S. Golf Team for the Olympics

One surprise: Schauffele, the defending gold medalist and one of the top favorites, will not repeat this weekend. Schauffele is coming off a victory at the Open Championship, which came on the heels of his first major title at the PGA Championship. He shot a 4-under 67 to win the gold medal by one stroke over Slovakia’s Rory Sabbatini at the 2020 Summer Olympics, sinking a 4-foot par putt to seal the win.

Schauffele is under particular pressure as he attempts to not only defend his recent major title but also defend the gold medal. He will have to beat a group of major champions, including Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm. The model expected Schauffele to perform well, but he ultimately went in the other direction with the gold medal pick.

The model also looked at where Scottie Scheffler finished. Scheffler won the Masters in April for his second major title and has won five other tournaments this season. The world No. 1 just finished in the top 10 at the Open Championship, but he had a disastrous week of putting.

Scheffler ranks 90th on the PGA Tour in putting, but he still leads the tour in total strokes gained and GIR%. He has only finished outside the top 10 twice this season, one of which was a T41 at the US Open. This will be the 28-year-old’s first appearance at the Olympics, adding some extra pressure. This model just locked in its Scottie Scheffler Olympic picks here.

How to select the men’s golf team for the 2024 Olympics
