Paramount Prince, It’s Time to Dazzle the Fun at Woodbine


Named champion 3-year-old male in Canada last year following a winning campaign at the King’s Plate, Paramount Prince on track for another Sovereign Award qualifying season this year at age 4.

Paramount Prince, bred in Ontario by Ericka Rusnak out of the Eddington Platinum Steel mare, was purchased by Mike Langlois for $16,648 at the 2021 Canadian Thoroughbred Racing (Ontario Division). Gary Barber joined him as co-owner of Paramount Prince after the fast gelding showed his talent as a 2-year-old. He is now 6/12.

Casse Adds Ontario Colleen With Time To Dazzle

One race before the Seagram Cup, Tracy’s Farmer’s It’s time to dazzle proved her worth in the $137,270 Ontario Colleen Stakes (G3T), taking the lead from the start and drawing away from her opponents in the one-mile turf race for 3-year-old mares.

Unchallenged early or late, Time to Dazzle glided across the finish line 4 1/2 lengths ahead. Simple in the front . Casse’s student ran the mile on the firm EP Taylor Turf Course in 1:33.57 after runs of :24.13, :47.07 and 1:09.81.

“I didn’t expect her to be in the lead, but she did very well and felt comfortable in that position,” said rider Sahin Civaci.
