Entering the budget scooter market in Malaysia is the 2024 SM Sport 110R, priced at RM4,199, excluding road tax, insurance and registration. There are three new colours for the Sport 110R – Green, Red and Light Blue – reflecting MForce Bike Holdings, the owner of the SM Sport brand in Malaysia.
Power for the 110R comes from a 109cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with both kick-start and electric start, fed by a carburetor. Power is claimed to be 6.7bhp at 7,500rpm with 7.6Nm of torque at 4,500rpm.
Power is sent to the rear wheel via a four-speed rotary gearbox with a centrifugal clutch and chain drive. Tire sizes are 17 inches front and rear, using 70/90 and 80/90 tubeless tires respectively.
Braking is done by hydraulic disc brakes at the front and mechanical drum brakes at the rear. The Sport 110R’s suspension system consists of telescopic forks at the front and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear.
With a claimed dry weight of 107 kg, the Sport 110R carries 4 litres of fuel in the tank while the seat height is set at 770 mm. Riding amenities include LED lighting throughout the bike, under-seat storage and a USB charging port.
