For Malaysia, 2024 Honda Gold Wing Tour Priced at RM212,888, excluding road tax, insurance and registration. Previously priced at RM210,888 in 2023, the Gold Wing Tour is expected to be available at all authorised Honda BigWing dealers nationwide from August 2024.
The Gold Wing’s trademark 1,833cc flat-six engine produces 124.7bhp at 5,500rpm and 170Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. Power is sent to the wheels via Honda’s seven-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) – now in its third generation – with final drive.
Paired with an electronic throttle, the Gold Wing Tour has four riding modes – Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain. This works in conjunction with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) or traction control, with clutch feel, shift speeds and upshift/downshift rpm ranges tailored to each riding mode.
This year in Malaysia, the Gold Wing Tour gets a new Heavy Gray Metallic colour option, along with obligatory luggage, totaling 61 litres of luggage capacity while the glove box is housed in the fuel tank with a USB charging port. As expected, riding amenities abound on the Gold Wing Tour, including an electrically adjustable windscreen and cruise control.
The 7-inch TFT display integrates Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth connectivity to the driver’s smartphone. There are also self-destructing indicators and LED lights used throughout the vehicle.
The front suspension on the Gold Wing Tour is done with double wishbones while the rear has a single-sided Pro Arm that houses the driveshaft. There are four electronically adjustable suspension modes for different loads, from solo rider to rider and passenger with full luggage.
Braking is done by dual 320mm discs at the front with radial mounted four-piston calipers while the rear gets a single 310mm disc. Wheel size on the Gold Wing Tour is 18 inches at the front with a 130/70 tyre while the 16-inch rear uses 200/55 rubber.
