The 2024 Open Championship enters Moving Day with 36 holes remaining at one of the world’s finest golf courses. Royal Troon has proved a beast in the first two rounds, setting the stage for what is sure to be a tough test this weekend at Scotland’s final major of the year. This comes as the field is packed with some of the game’s best golfers battling it out for the Claret Jug at the 152nd edition of the sport’s oldest tournament.

Shane Lowry grabbed the second 36-hole lead of his major championship career on Friday. The last time he held that lead was at the 2019 Open, which he won and won his only major of his career at Royal Portrush. Britons Justin Rose and Dan Brown are right behind him — two shots behind — but there are plenty of people hoping Moving Day will live up to its name.

Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are all within eight points of Lowry.
