While Polestar 3 SUV Swing for efficient performance and Pole Star 4 For buyers curious about styling, the upcoming Polestar 6 will likely take aim at Tesla.
Still two years to go—and still a strong candidate to beat Second generation Tesla Roadster to go into production—the Polestar 6 has a concept version that could lead to a high-performance production model.
The Polestar BST Concept was released before the end of this week Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024where it will be shown to the public for the first time. Polestar has scheduled the original Concept 6 to run on Goodwood Hill this weekend while the Concept BST is on display.
The BST is, in the words of Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath, the electric convertible “turned up to 11.” (The “Spinal Tap” quotes may disappear in our lifetimes, but not just yet.) The car features concept-specific bodywork like wider tracks and flared fenders, and it rides on 22-inch forged alloy wheels.
Aerodynamic goodies include a vented hood with a new front splitter and a massive rear wing similar to those found on the $300,000-plus Porsche GT3 and Ford Mustang GTD. What’s good for gasoline is good for electric cars.
Concept BST covered in sporty silver paint with racing graphics. The interior has not been revealed yet.

Polestar first showed off the 6 concept in 2022, promising production by 2026. In concept form, it features a two-motor powertrain with a battery pack of unspecified size. The setup produces a promised 884 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque, providing all-wheel drive and a sprint to 60 mph in less than 3.2 seconds on its way to a claimed top speed of 155 mph. The 800-volt electrical architecture could help with fast charging. Polestar hasn’t confirmed any powertrain upgrades for the BST.
