Delta Air Lines and United Airlines will return to Israel this week.
Both airlines withdrew from Tel Aviv following the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel by Hamas and the subsequent war in Gaza. United briefly returned to the market earlier this year, but suspended flights again after tensions between Israel and Iran escalated in April.

After these suspensions, Israel’s national airline, El Al, remains the only airline serving the market from the US to Tel Aviv.
However, that will all change this weekend as both Delta and United confirmed that they will return to Israel.
Here is the latest information on when airlines will return to Israel.
Delta Air Lines Israel flights
Delta’s daily service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) will resume on June 7.
The airline will deploy an Airbus A330-900neo, featuring 29 Delta One suites, 28 Premium Select recliners, 56 economy Comfort+ seats and 168 standard economy seats, on its daily route from New York to Tel Aviv. Aviv.
Delta originally planned to resume Israeli flights on May 1 but moved the date to about five weeks later, at the start of the peak summer season.

The airline said it had conducted an “extensive security risk assessment” to support the decision to return to Tel Aviv and would work with “government and private sector partners” to monitor developing situation in the country.
In recent years, Delta has busy building the Israeli network with new flights from Atlanta and Bostonjoins the airline’s existing service from New York.
Flights to Israel from Atlanta and Boston are currently unavailable on Delta’s website, and no resumption date has been announced.
In addition to Delta flights, the airline also recently increased its presence in Israel through a codeshare agreement with El Al. The airline currently flies to several US markets, including New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

United will return to Israel for the second time since the war broke out in October; Its flights will resume on June 6.
The airline’s Flight 84 and Flight 85 – an early afternoon departure from Newark and a day flight from Tel Aviv – were the first flights to resume on Thursday. The airline then plans to add Flight 90 and Flight 91 – an evening departure from Newark and a red-eye flight from Tel Aviv – on Thursday, June 20.
United first resumed flights 84 and 85 in early March but suspended them again in April after the Iran attack. Now, the airline seems ready to meet Delta’s reopening date.
United plans to restart service from Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, DC to Israel in late October.
These flights are already available for booking on United’s website, but the airline will “continue to monitor the situation in Tel Aviv and adjust schedules as committed.”
American Airlines Israel flight tickets
American Airlines only has one Israeli route left from New York to Tel Aviv. (The service provider has removed it service from Miami completely early last year.)
American closed its station outside Tel Aviv after the outbreak of war, and it does not plan to resume flights until the fall.
