The Rosetta Stone, the Kohinoor diamond, the sculptures from the Greek Parthenon known as the Elgin Marbles are all dazzling objects that carry the history of early civilizations.

But these objects were also appropriated by colonialists and are still displayed in museum galleries far from their homes.

Over the years, museums around the world have been re-accounting for the looted treasures they kept and benefited from.

Now a small museum in Nashville, Tennessee is returning ancient objects unearthed in Mexico.
