Old Friends Host the 18th Annual Homecoming Event, May 7th
Old Friends, the Thoroughbred Retirement Ranch in Georgetown, Ky., will be hosting its 18th annual Homecoming event on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET (ET).
Tickets to the Homecoming event are $40 for the general public and $20 for Old Friends Clubhouse members (children 12 and under are free). For tickets, go to www.oldfriendsequine.org.
The day will include a barbecue lunch buffet provided by Proud Mary, farm tours, live Bluegrass music, and live and silent auctions of racing memorabilia, collectible horse ropes, artworks, and more. artwork, jewelry, books, etc. There will also be an artwork sale in the warehouse near the office.
Old Friends, a non-profit organization, is the home of retired celebrities such as the 1997 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winners, Silver Charm; multi-stakes winners are classified, lava man; Winner of Belmont Stakes touch gold, Sarava, bird stoneAnd Ruler on Ice; three-time Santa Anita Handicap winner, Games On Dude; Breeders’ Cup Turf and Arlington Million winner in 2012, Little Mike; 2005 Wood Memorial Winner Bellamy Street; one-eyed, fan-favorite and finished third in Belmont Stakes 2017, patch; and two-time Breeders’ Cup Sprint winner, storm of freedom.
