Top Gear season crashes after fatal crash
Filming for season 34 of top gear will not restart following an incident in December 2022 involving presenter and cricket legend Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff.
Sun quoted a BBC spokesman, who said “Under those circumstances, we feel it is inappropriate to continue production on series 34”.
“We understand this will be disappointing for fans, but it’s the right thing to do and we’ll make a judgment on how best to proceed later this year,” the spokesperson said. Sun.
“This has also affected the production team, whom we continue to support. Finally, there will be a health and safety assessment of the performance, consistent with our process.”
Flintoff was driving a Morgan Super 3 on December 13, 2022 when the car overturned and slid along the Top Gear track in Dunsfold, UK.
He is said to have suffered a broken rib and facial injury in the collision, despite wearing a helmet. A member of the crew in the passenger seat was also injured in the crash.
Presenter, presenter of the latest happenings top gear along with Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris, were airlifted to the hospital after the crash.
top gear has seen several hosts since the departures of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May in 2015.
The first reincarnation featured radio host Chris Evans and Friend Directed by Matt LeBlanc, assisted by Chris Harris, Rory Reid, Sabine Schmitz and Eddie Jordan.
In 2019, the current trio of presenters took over.
