Tommy’s Rage I’m confident I’ll beat Jake Paul in a more dominant fashion if they rematch.
Fury (9-0) beat Paul (6-1) by one divisive decision Sunday in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia and made the boxer the YouTube star his first loss.
Fury was firmly in control until being knocked out by Paul in Round 8 brought the scoreboard closer. But Fury thinks more pressure will lead to his end result.
“Nothing to lose from Jake Paul – he’s a good guy,” Fury said at his post-match press conference. “I am pretty sure that if we continue in the future, I will be able to stop him. I feel like in the fight, if I pressed him a little bit more, I could get him out of there.
“But at the end of the day, what more could you ask for?”
Paul said he spoke with Fury in the infirmary and they agreed to a rematch for the next fight. When Fury was asked about running things again, he did it all.
“One hundred percent,” Fury said. “At the end of the day, this is my first main event. The world is watching this war. I have that experience behind me now. So when I go to another big dance like this, I’ll have this behind me and I’ll know how to deal with it.
“Having fought with Jake once, I’m pretty sure I can stop next time.”
