Brandon Figueroa arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Texas
Featherweight contender Brandon Figueroa was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Sunday near his home in Weslaco, Texas, according to multiple reports.
Figueroa’s blood alcohol level was measured to be more than 0.15%, nearly double the legal limit of 0.8 in Texas, ESPN reported.
The 25-year-old was issued with a $1,000 bond, according to the outlet.
Figueroa (23-1-1, 18 KOs) is a 122-pound former titleholder who promoted to 126th for his final bout, a sixth-round technical knockout by Carlos Castro in July.
He currently has no combat schedule.
