MV Agusta returns to Malaysia with AFY Mobility, motorcycles will be assembled locally at Shah Alam
MV Agusta Malaysia has been appointed as the sole and exclusive distributor of MV Agusta in the local market. The newly established company is a subsidiary of AFY Mobility and is responsible for the sale and distribution of MV Agusta motorcycles, spare parts, merchandise and specialty parts in Malaysia.
The motorcycles will be assembled locally at the AMI factory and training facility in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. In the statement, Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta Motor said that this new partnership marks the consolidation and expansion of MV Agusta’s presence in Southeast Asia.
AFY Mobility was recently reported in paultan.org participates in a project with Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) to produce a Malaysian motorcycle brand and make Malaysia a global motorcycle assembly hub. MV Agusta was last represented in Malaysia by DNC Asiatica partnership that lasted less than two years before the company closed operations and asked employees to resign in May 2018.

The MV Agusta The brand has a long history with Malaysia, formerly owned by Proton Holdings and purchased for RM500 million in 2003, before being sold for RM4 to Gevi SpA in 2006.
