Super Nintendo world visitors in Japan can now rent the switch stand at their hotel
The holidays are wonderful and all, but when you have to go back to your hotel at the end of the day, it’s a bit of a pain not to be able to start a good game of Mario Party Superstars on your bedroom TV – unless you’ve already brought a Nintendo Switch dock, but why waste precious luggage space on a dock when you can fill it up with the Mario computers from Super Nintendo World?
Nintendo knows the problem here is that the hotel doesn’t have a pier, so they’ve partnered with several hotels near Universal Studios Japan (where Super Nintendo World is located) to offer dock rentals. The docking station, high-speed HDMI cable, and Nintendo Switch AC adapter can be rented at the following hotels, starting April 23:
- Oriental Hotel Universal City
- Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan
- Keihan Universal Tower Hotel
- Universal Hotel Port
Three other hotels are still preparing for pier rentals and will offer them later:
- Kintetsu Universal City Hotel
- Universal Port Vita Hotel
- Liber Hotel at Universal Studios Japan
Is this a good idea, or do you take your dock with you every vacation? Would you like hotels that will offer this service in your country? Let us know in the comments section!
