Between an awards show and a red carpet season that’s largely been postponed, canceled or virtual, we couldn’t be more thrilled to be back in the *partly* traditional rotation with this year’s 2022 SAG Awards. And yes, only the sheer anticipation of upcoming fashion and beauty (especially salivating) moments has left us in awe a bit.
Unlike most award shows, the SAG Awards don’t have a designated host (a tradition that will continue this year), but fear not, aside from the glitz and glamor, there will certainly be some highlights and surprises in store. For example, the show’s opening sequence will feature “Hamilton” stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Daveed Diggs and Leslie Odom Jr. and five-time SAG Award winner, Helen Mirren will be presented with the SAG Life Achievement Award by Kate Winslet.
Personally, I’m going to enjoy tonight’s show by enjoying the most sodium-laden takeout I can find and a good glass of wine while, of course, keeping track of every make-up and head-to-head moment. hair appeared on the red carpet.
