9-year-old Astroworld Festival attendee dies
Ezra Blount, a 9-year-old boy who attended the Astroworld festival, died of his injuries after being stepped on during the event.
He’s the 10th person to die.
“He’s very attractive. He’s ready to go,” his father Treston told ABC13.
Treston said that Ezra was shoulder height and that they stayed close to the back of the crowd because Treston said he thought it would be calmer. He said that as soon as Travis Scott got on stage, people started shoving and he lost consciousness. Ezra fell to the ground and was trampled. When he regained consciousness, he could not find his Ezra.
MAYHEM AT ASTROWORLD
He rushed to the on-site ambulance tents, as well as several hospitals, and filed a police report. Then he received a text message from the police with a photo of his son.
“The Blount family is deeply saddened by the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son. This should not have been the result of taking their son to a concert, it should have been. a joyful celebration,” family attorney Ben Crump said in a statement. “Ezra’s death is completely heartbreaking. We are committed to seeking answers and justice for the Blount family. But we stand with the family, in our grief and prayers.”
