Before celebrating Christmas with my husband Henry Hager and their three children mila9, drug7 and Hal3, the Today The show’s co-host hopes to keep the fun under the tree at a manageable level.
“I prefer the experience,” says Jenna Hoda Kotb on the December 22 episode of Today. “I like fun rides or concerts or whatever.”
One experience this family can’t refuse is a visit to Santa. But in discussing the topic of frustration around the holidays, Jenna developed a rule that might benefit other parents.
“It’s all about expectations,” she said. “We had to go see Santa Claus, sit on his lap and see Mrs. Claus and Henry saying, ‘Should the kids write a list?’ and I said, ‘No, because I don’t want them to think that Santa will definitely bring all 10 presents.'”
