76,000 people received first RM200 Budi Madani subsidy aid, 100,000 applications to date – Ministry of Finance
The finance ministry said it has so far approved 100,000 applications for Budi Madani’s monthly cash assistance under the program. diesel subsidy rationalization programcausing retail fuel prices to increase by RM1.20, or 56%, to RM3.35 per liter on June 10.
According to Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, 30,000 applicants have received the first payments as of June 10, followed by another 46,000 on June 19, Star report. Recipients include individual diesel vehicle owners belonging to Budi Individu as well as farmers and small plantation owners belonging to Budi Agri-Komoditi.
He urged those who have not yet registered for support to do so. “I urge eligible Malaysians to quickly register to receive the diesel subsidy rationalized cash assistance in June,” he said through a statement.
He added that those who apply before the end of the month will receive payments in early July. “The government is committed to starting payments in the month of application. Those who are eligible will receive a monthly support of RM200 through their bank accounts or receive cash from Simpanan Nasional Bank,” he said.
Amir Hamzah said that applicants can check the status of their application through Budi Madani website. “For those whose applications have not been approved, they can file an appeal on the website itself,” he added.
The Budi Madani grant support program was announced on May 27 and applications opened a day later. Eligible individuals may Applicable according to Budi Personal and Budi Agri-Commodity categories.
