By far the most common mistake I see new landscape photographers make is using only the wide angle lens. Undoubtedly, wide angle lenses are popular for good reason, but on the other hand, longer zoom lenses can help you pick out the individual elements of interest, simplifying complex compositions and create more abstract images. And you don’t need an expensive and bulky f/2.8 zoom lens; something like a 70-200mm f/4 will serve you well. Check out the video above for the full recap.
