6 Outdated Shoe Trends I’ll Remove from My Wardrobe in 2023


You’d be alarmed if you knew how many pairs of shoes I have in my closet—ah, yes in my closet before I did a recent deep clean. Clean out the closet can be a daunting task to take on, especially if it’s been a while since your last check, so I wanted to tackle my problem in small chunks with each category. First, shoes. Like I said, my collection started to go up to 40 pairs (I know, I know), because I admit I have a soft spot when it comes to shoe shopping. That’s another story, but today I’m here to share my successful deep cleaning results.

I ended up reducing my collection by almost half, partly because I was keeping pairs that were past their expiry date and partly because my personal style and lifestyle had changed over the years. via. . The first to go were shoes like white sandals that were scratched beyond repair and sneakers so worn they were in danger of bursting. Next up are outdated shoe trends that no longer resonate with me in 2023. These are styles that simply sit on the shelf for too long and are what I’m digging into here. Up front, let’s see which six trends I eliminated during my massive shoe cleanup, and which alternatives I’m keeping.
